From our enviable location here in Mawgan Porth and Newquay we have the very best of North Cornwall’s coastline at our fingertips, allowing us to show you some of the most epic coasteering Cornwall has to offer.
Mawgan Porth is just 5 miles from Newquay and, depending on sea conditions on the day, we will choose the best of three nearby favourite ‘secret spots’ so you can get the most out of your time coasteering around Newquay and the surrounding beaches. On days when Mawgan Porth is working in our favour we’ll stay right here and enjoy what our beautiful uncrowded beach has to offer.
Mawgan Porth Beach
West-facing Mawgan Porth beach sits just North of Watergate Bay alongside a verdant green valley equidistant between Newquay and Padstow on the North Cornish coast. The stretch of fine golden sands give way to epic rock formations, swirling rock pools and even a waterfall at the far end of the beach. From here you can walk to Porthcothan, Treyarnon and beyond in one direction, with Watergate Bay and the iconic Bedruthan Steps in the other.
The whole of this stretch of coast enjoys world-class surf conditions but Mawgan Porth is still relatively untapped as a popular surf spot due to its fickle beachbreak. Coasteering in Mawgan Porth will give you a new-found love for adventure, adrenaline and immersing yourself in nature…
